Buse and Canay organizing "Turkish day"

How Canay and Buse enjoyed "DAY WITH"

"After midterm seminar me and Canay planned to visit each other’s workplace and want to do something together. We thought about what we can do and when we can do? Then we decided to have a Turkish tea day since we both from Turkey. I ordered the traditional tea pot, glasses and Turkish tea because we wanted them to have the same experience as we have  in our country. Also when we drink tea we usually have something to eat like pastry.

We cooked “Börek” a type of savory pastry and “Kısır” a salad made with bulgur with the clients. We also talked about Tea culture in Turkey because as Turks we love to drink tea and its part of our culture and it is a tradition tied in with the society’s hospitality. We served kısır and börek with the tea and enjoy our meal together. We shared laughters, good moments and things about our country.

And the next day I visited Canay's work place. We prepared turkish tea for her clients and co-workers and we cook together. It was nice to do something together and spend time with her clients and see a different workplace."  Buse

"Greetings again everyone.  You know, we (in Turkey) don't give back the dinner plate that comes to our house from our neighbor empty and we return it by putting food in it.  Buse should have decided on this, because she made a return visit and we decided to come to my workplace and have our second tea day.  Our Turkish salad, Börek and tea once again conquered everyone's hearts and it was over before we could even eat a food.  We proudly finished our day after hearing that they liked our food and especially our Turkish tea culture and were very impressed.
