Can you play the ukulele?

M: Not me! However Juan, our volunteer at the school in Ostrava, could play the ukulele and taught it his pupils.
Honza, can you look back on this volunteer year in a few sentences?

H:"In the school year 2022/2023 we hosted an international volunteer from sunny Malaga (Spain) - Juan González De Arce. Juan was a quiet friendly character, a model introvert :) We experienced a lot, the photos below will probably tell more about that.

During his time there, we personally tasted some typical "Spanish" flavours such as "Pan con tomate", "Gaspacho", "Churros" through his mini-project "Cooking with Juan - Spanish Cuisine". It was obvious that he likes to cook, probably also because he can eat something he is used to at home. Czech cuisine was not to his liking...

Juan brought something new to our students, but also to us staff, he brought a piece of his culture to our school, we learned some Spanish, he was such a silent friend to us." Jan Pokorný (Juan's supervisor at the school in Ostrava)
