Learning through "Days With"

Mirka: Viru, may you tell us about "Days with" opportunities? How were they for you?

Viru: "For me, being part of the "days with" has allowed me to get to know other workplaces as well as see myself in different work positions. In addition, it has been a way to collaborate with my friends in their volunteer work. It has been very exciting to be able to create projects together and help each other. I had the opportunity to share more about my country and the Spanish cultures in other services, create different activities and creative handcrafts.

During my experiences, I have been able to enjoy different people and learned new work methodology. I consider that it has been formative since it allowed me to obtain ideas to implement them in my workplace.Being with tenageers in the club of Emma let me know more about their interests and also I learnt new handcrafts thanks to Mari and her project of kites. It has been very positive to get out of the routine and challenge myself in other workplaces because everything was unknown to me. Also, I admit that in my visits, workers were really helpful to me. They introduced me to the clients, described the service and showed me the infra structures.

Likewise, I encourage people who have doubts about their future work to participate in this kind of project because it allows them to interact with different services. Perhaps you will find your vocation in this way, or it helps you to know yourself better by exposing yourself to new experiences. In summary, it helps you to see yourself in different contexts, helping you to discover your limits and your potential."
