Looking back at Christmas time in kindergarden

How is Agnieszka, our Polish volunteer doing in the Třanovský kindergarden?

"December in kindergarden was full of preparing decorations and training the play. Kids practiced dancing and telling a short 🎄Christmas story for parents. In my opinion even we forgot some steps in the dance, all things went adorably and everyone was satisfied with that.

On the other hand we were doing Christmas decorations🎀 such us baubles, Christmas cards and we even baked cookies. After all of that me and Asude, who is volunteering in primary school in the same building, got very important job of selling these goodies. 😁 We think we were very convincing and the whole event was a success.

The thing I learned this month is a whole dictionary of new Czech words that describe Christmas. When I found out what Czechs are doing on this holiday I got a little bit surprised. As I am from Poland I expected our traditions to be very similar but they really aren't! For us eating schnitzel, Jesus bringing gifts and cutting the apple for 24 of December is not that obvious! In Poland we eat different kinds of fish, we put a hay under the tablecloth and wait for the gifts from Satna Claus.🎅

After busy month and then seeing my family during Christmas brake I comeback with good, refreshed energy to face new challenges!😊" Aga
