Mari and Gvantsa’s visit to Canay’s workplace - Eden

Let's read about another DAY WITH of our Georgian volunteers!

We have decided to use our chance to visit other placements. We didn’t want to be just the observants there, so we brought our culture and country to Canay's placement. Planning the mini project for adults with disabilities was a different challenge than we had before. While planning for the day we considered what they like and enjoy doing. We started with a little presentation loaded with visual materials about our beautiful country. For the morning activity we cooked Georgian traditional food together and everyone liked it. In the afternoon, we asked clients to colour the flag and traditional clothes of Georgia, danced Georgian national dances, and had a lot of fun together."

It was again very informative to visit other volunteer’s workplace and see around. We could compare it with our workplaces and see differences clearly. It helped us to widen our perspectives and get inspired.

On the other hand, it was very interesting to be a host for other volunteers who work with different target groups. The process of modifying mini-project for the disabled adults was also interesting. Inferrably, it was one of the most productive days for all of us.  (Gvantsa and Mari)
