On-arrival seminar 2025 in Ostravice

From 13 to 17 October 2025, all the international volunteers of the 2025 / 2026 generation met for the first time at a five-day on-arrival seminar held in the picturesque Beskydy Mountains in Ostravice at the foot of Lysá hora. Since they came from Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia, this year's on-arrival seminar was unique for its diversity of cultures, languages and traditions.

During the seminar, the volunteers reflected on their decisions and motivations for coming to the Czech Republic to help in social services, thought about their expectations and fears, and set personal goals and plans for the upcoming months. In addition, they had the opportunity to share their cultures, develop their social media skills, or learn to be more environmental responsible.

For one day, the volunteers were joined by their supervisors from the hosting placements and by a Czech language teacher, who will accompany and support our international group on their exciting journey throughout the year.
